Eric Best - Founder and CEO of GivBax
Eric has been dedicated to volunteering and community outreach since his undergraduate studies at the University of Delaware and Arizona State University. He went on to work as a specialist in the medical billing field, helping reduce healthcare costs for patients while simultaneously getting his Master's in Public Health Administration from Pennsylvania State University. Eric founded Givbax to provide direct medical and community outreach assistance for those in need while also addressing broader public health challenges like cancer and Alzheimer's disease.
At Givbax, we want to offer a range of programs to support our community, including food assistance, job training, and healthcare services. Our programs are designed to meet the unique needs of each individual or family we serve.
We aspire to help individuals and families overcome financial, medical, and social challenges. We hope to share success stories as a testament to the impact of our programs and the dedication of our team and supporters.
We plan to partner with various organizations and businesses to support our community. Our partnerships enable us to expand our reach and provide even more resources and services to those in need.
Givbax was born from both personal heartbreak and professional frustration. Like so many, our founders have lost loved ones to devastating illnesses like cancer and Alzheimer’s. These experiences were not just painful; they were eye-opening. They revealed the gaps in care, the confusion of navigating medical systems, and the immense emotional and financial toll on families.
Professionally, we saw these same struggles echoed across communities: patients drowning in red tape, life-saving treatments delayed or denied, and researchers working tirelessly but often held back by inconsistent or overly complex funding systems. These barriers didn’t just slow progress; they hurt people.
Givbax exists because we believe in cutting through that complexity. We believe that support should be direct, accessible, and rooted in compassion. Our work is driven by a deep sense of responsibility to honor those we've lost and to stand beside those still fighting.
This is more than just a nonprofit to us. It’s our way of giving back, pushing forward, and never accepting that “the system” has to stay broken.
